Role Description
Are you an experienced payroll professional looking to join an organization and make an impact? The Weitz Company is hiring a Payroll Manager to provide expertise and ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. This role will have the exciting opportunity to review current processes and systems and find ways to improve them for efficiency and accuracy. The Payroll Manager will also provide leadership to the payroll team and will play an active role in their professional development.
What You Will Do
- Coordinate and facilitate internal/external audits
- Ensure payroll records are accurate
- Develop, mentor, and coach payroll team members
- Collaborate with HR team on employee benefits
- Manager third party vendor relationships and updates for software/systems
What We’re Looking For
Experience
- 7+ years of payroll experience required
- 2+ years of experience managing/leading others
- Certified Payroll Profession (CPP) designation required
- Experience processing payroll for union employees is a plus
Skills
- Detail-oriented and a high level of accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills

- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to learn specific job-related software upon hire
